The second team were involved in a very close game at Seth Somers Park where batting first against Walmley they totalled 250-8 in their 50 overs thanks mainly to Mark Fisher (50) Priyesh Dhoolab (48) Mohammed Shuaib (54) and Deon Patel (39). However with an injury ravaged attack which is currently missing no less than 6 senior bowlers they managed to pull off a winning draw by restricting Walmley to 229-9 in the last over. Wickets for Shuaib (3-48) and Chris Jones (2-45) together with some excellent ground fielding and catching were key to suppressing the Walmley batters and pushing Halesowen up to 6th in the table.
