Halesowen CC plummeted to perhaps their worst performance in some time as they were steamrollered by local neighbours Harborne in the Birmingham League Division 2 clash. Batting first they crashed to 66 all out with only Captain Wes Griffiths and Hassan Quami reaching double figures. In reply Harborne strolled to a mid-afternoon victory by 9 wickets Musharraf Shazad picking up the only wicket to fall leaving the team in mid table. Chairman Richard Evans commented ‘there were a number of things about this weekend’s performances that need reviewing. However we have been here before around this time last season, tidied up some areas of our Cricket and then came strong again in the run-in. Now is the time for clear thinking and calm heads as it is these kind of periods where you learn lots about each other and their desire to take up the challenges that we face with half the season to go.’
