The 1's suffered a batting blip against nearby Wombourne when chasing down 250 in 51 overs. They slipped to 127-7 thanks to some accurate left arm spin from Womboune's Indian spinner Kuldip Diwan (4-27). The chase proved too large for the home side due to a quick fire start from the Wombourne batsmen in the first innings when Waqas Ahmed took a liking to new ball pairing Eddie Rhodes and Dylan Ross Watt scoring 85 in even time. Only Richard Brooker (2-60) Will Barrett (2-43) and Masharaff Shazad (2-59) got to grips with the task. In reply a succession of low scores from the leading batters put Halesowen in trouble with only Ed Kilbee (35) and, once again, Jack Myers (45) showing what was required. The first team now sit 5th 50 points from the summit at the half way stage of the season.
