Halesowen CC travelled to Old Elizabethans to pick up a 15 point winning draw thanks to contributions from Jack Myers (93) and Will Barrett (77) as the visitors totted up 269 in their 55 overs. In reply Old Elizabethans set about the Halesowen total in fine style and were up with the run rate after 15 overs with a total of 97-1. However skipper Richard Brooker (3-37) pegged them back and then Eddie Rhodes with a burst of last wickets (4-63) ensured the winning draw. Speaking after the game recent signing Jack Myers said ‘it was good to get another decent innings under my belt and I am really enjoying the switch from Eastnor CC to Halesowen. We are in a good rhythm now and the second half of the season should be exciting for us as its all to play for with the division being so tight. We are just 30 points off the top with some key games coming in the next few weeks
