HCC Fantasy Cricket 2012Play the HCC Fantasy Cricket League!

Here is the chance for anyone and everyone to pick their best eleven players across the club and hopefully see them max their potential this summer and win you some well deserved prize money. This will not only benefit you but will hopefully spur on the whole club to succeed across all four teams on a Saturday and unite us.

The rules of the fantasy league are simple; the team manager has a budget of 75 million pounds to chance his arm with. Each player across all four teams on a Saturday has been given a value taking into account there relevant statistics from last season including fielding to gauge what we believe to be a fair and honest valuation. The value has been determined on success within your squad in 2011, so you may find due to your success you’re fairly high priced, or you may find despite being a talented player, that due to your underachievement your value is not so great.

THE RULES

  • Each manager must pick eleven players, one of whom they must specify to be captain who will have their points doubled each week, so selection here could be key.
  • Each manager has a 75 million pounds budget
  • Only Saturday league games count
  • 1 point for a run
  • 25 points for a wicket
  • 15 points for a catch
  • 25 points for a run out
  • 20 points for a stumping
  • 40 bonus points for a century
  • 40 bonus points for a 5 for
  • A deduction of 20 points for a duck
  • A deduction of 20 points for a player who concedes 0 for greater than or equal to 50
  • A deduction of 1 point for every 4 runs conceded
  • Each team must contain players from all squads, you must select three threes and a two which way round is completely up to the manager. For example two 1st XI players, three  2nd XI players, three 3rd XI players, three 4th XI players.
  • Due to work commitments, last year players sometimes played out of their normal team. To this end ratios will now be applied to players playing 2 or 3 teams away from their designated squad in the player details. i.e. 1st team player in the 3rd team, 4th team player playing in the 1st team. The following ratios will therefore be applied in these circumstances: 1st team in 3rd team, 2nd team in 4th team, positive points 0.75 and negative 1.5; 1st team in 4th team, positive points 0.5 and negative 2; 3rd team in the 1st team, 4th team in the 2nd team, positive points 1.5 and negative 0.75; 4th team in 1st team, positive points 2 and negative 0.5. e.g. A 1st team player who plays in the 4th team and scores 50 runs will score 25 points (as 50 x 0.5 = 25). If they were to get a duck, which is normally -40 points, they would incur a -80 point penalty instead (as -40 x 2 = -80).
  • Each team must contain 5 Batsmen, 5 Bowlers and 1 Wicket Keeper
  • Play-Cricket.com data will be the basis of data used in the league, however if it is known this is incorrect the administrator will have the power to make alterations; my decision is final.
  • The deadline for entries is the first ball of the season. After this time no additional entries will be accepted. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!!
  • Transfers will be available for 3 players and will take effect from week 12 onwards. CAPTAINS CAN NOT BE TRANSFERRED. Transfers will be submitted via a box behind the bar at the club. Each player will sign the form and have it matched against their entry to ensure authenticity.
