The club are pleased to announce that Jack Myers will be rejoining the club for the 2018 season and Rob Horn will be joining from Tanworth in Arden.

In addition to the acquisition of former Worcs CCC all rounder Alexei Kervezee from Bromsgrove CC, Halesowen have wasted no time in bolstering their batting for the 2018 season with the return to the club of Jack Myers.

Myers a right handed hard hitting middle order batsmen who played for Old Elizabethans CC as well as Burghill and Tillington CC in the 2017 season due to his work placements scoring 392 runs at 39.00. However he returns in 2018 with the club looking forward to him repeating his Halesowen form of 2016 where he scored 447 Birmingham League runs.

Myers will also be a handy acquisition in the spin department with the departure of Captain and leg spinner Richard Brooker. Myers leg spin will complement the off spin of new Captain Alexei Kervezee and young slow left arm bowler Musharraf Shahzad meaning that Hales should have cover in all 3 areas for the 2018 season.

Myers returns to boost the first team ranks, whilst Rob Horn also joins the club to boost the 2nd XI seamers having played for Tanworth in Arden in 2016. Horn who is a right arm quickie joins the club alongside compatriot Harry Kitchen (left hand batsman and slow left arm bowler) both of whom coach with Worcestershire Cricket Board.
